- Other Details: The facility which is stroke-certified and PEDs level 3 is looking for a provider to cover on-site clinical hours only. There are an average 5-10 patients per shift. The facility is urgently seeking Locum OBGYN providers to cover 28 shifts per month starting May 15th, with shifts running 7:00 AM–7:00 PM and 7:00 PM–7:00 AM. Coverage is primarily needed on weekdays (Monday–Friday) with both day and night shifts on weekends. Providers must have clean files to secure emergency privileges by the start date, with the facility willing to expedite the process. This is a 12-hour in-house position billed at an hourly rate, with guaranteed 12 hours per day and overtime applying after 12 hours. The role involves hospitalist coverage for a unit with ten labor and delivery rooms, eight antepartum rooms, eighteen postpartum rooms, and two dedicated ORs. Providers will care for unassigned OB patients, OBs signed out by primary physicians, and unassigned Gyn ED patients, managing surgical cases such as C-sections, spontaneous abortions, and ovarian torsions. Support includes laborist back-up and perinatology, with assistance to private physicians during both planned and unplanned C-sections. Level 2 ultrasounds, amniocentesis, and forceps delivery are not required.

Job Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee labor for both low- and high-risk OB patients.
- Perform and assist with planned and unplanned C-sections, spontaneous abortions, and ovarian torsion surgeries.
- Support and collaborate with private physicians as needed.
- Ensure quality patient care in a unit with ten labor and delivery rooms, eight antepartum rooms, eighteen postpartum rooms, and two dedicated ORs.
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted medical license (or eligibility) in the state of practice.
- Clean file required for emergency privileging by May 15.
- Previous hospitalist experience preferred.
Working Hours
- Shifts are 12 hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM.
- Coverage mainly needed Monday through Friday during the day, with additional day and night shifts on weekends.
- Guaranteed 12 hours per shift; overtime applies after 12 hours.
Skills
- Proficient in performing C-sections and managing surgical OB/Gyn cases.
- Comfortable working in high-volume, fast-paced hospital settings.
- Effective communication and teamwork in multidisciplinary care.
- Familiarity with managing patients without the use of forceps or performing amniocentesis; level 2 ultrasounds not required.
