Coverage Needed

  • Schedule: 24-hour call shifts from 7 am to 7 am
  • Specific Dates: June 15-30, July 15-31, Aug 15-31, Sept 15-30, Oct 15-31, Nov 15-30, Dec 15-31
  • Duration: Stretches of at least 7 days/month

Clinical Details

  • Setting: Clinic and Inpatient Call
  • Required Procedures: All OB/GYN procedures
  • EMR: EPIC
  • Support Staff: Lab Tech, LPN/LVN, MA, X-ray Tech, RN, CRNAs, and midwives
  • Working in clinic during the week seeing ob/gyn patients for new obstetrics, established obstetrics, new gynecology issues, and surgical consultations
  • Surgical blocks are twice per week for non-emergent surgeries
  • Shifts include all obstetrics as well as emergency gynecology and obstetric cases
  • Census: Patient population, Adult, Adolescent; Number of beds, 10; Admissions, Clinic 16-25; inpatient 3-6
  • Facility has back-up with skilled general surgeons & urologist
  • Births per year: 600 per year, 50 per month
  • Day census: Clinic is 3.5 days a week & 2 half OR days, No robot
  • Number of surgeries typically scheduled per week for OR days: 4-6 per week

Requirements

  • Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in OB/GYN (0-5 years post-residency)
  • Active Kansas license - Highly Preferred
  • Active BLS
  • Active DEA (will consider a transferred DEA, however, must keep this DEA for the duration of the assignment, not just for shifts worked)
  • Clean malpractice/background - Highly Preferred
  • Procedure logs (Hysterectomies - 5 min, C-section - 5 min, Deliveries - 50 min within the past 24 months)
  • Cannot consider candidates wishing to do clinic only
  • Unable to consider FMOBs at this time
