Locums – Wyandotte, Michigan, OB Hospitalist Opening (IMLC Accepted) Clinical Role:

  • June 15 – ongoing until perm is hired
  • In-house shifts on the L&D floor
  • Specific days/shifts needed:
  • Every Monday 7a-5:30p + Every Wednesday 5:30a-5:30a
  • 2nd Tuesday/month, 1st Friday/month, 3rd Friday/month; 7a-5:30p
  • Reason for need: Have 2 anticipated departures coming around mid-June (retirement and academic change)
  • Program is a Laborist program ("doc in the box") 24/7 covers L&D and OB Triage and occasionally must go to ER for some female related GYN issues
  • OB/GYN residents there 24/7 but no APP coverage
  • Would be responsible for supervising residents - no exceptions
  • Private practice deliveries on that unit
  • Level 3 NICU staffed by neonatologists and APP
  • 27 beds + triage and OR in addition to those
  • 400 c-sections per year
  • Will do elective inductions but not commonly
  • Must be comfortable with c-sections; emergency DNC, DNE
  • 24-hour anesthesia that covers OB
  • Recently developed dry epidural program
  • Don't do a lot of high risk
  • Credentialing timeframe: 90-120 days
  • Board Certified - Required
  • MI License - Highly Preferred (willing to accept with IMLC)
  • Clean Background/No Malpractice - Highly Preferred
  • Local Candidates - Highly Preferred (open to candidates who need full travel)
  • Would be responsible for supervising residents - no exceptions- Required
