DESCRIPTION:

• Two weeks per month starting in July through December
• Daily schedule= 9 hours of in-house call followed by 15 hours of beeper call.
• Volume Expectation: Deliveries per 24 hours :1-6 patients across all providers and midwives with less than half being done by the community call/hospitalist provider.
• Rounding service patient load: 5-15 per day
• C-section rate would be 0-3 on average per 24 hours for all providers.
• 5 current community OB providers and 2 employed OB providers.
• 7 midwives in the community working with the providers.
• The hospitalist takes community call (unattached call) and may be supervising midwives from the community providers if the providers check out the service.
• How many births/year? 950
• Required Skills: General Obstetric skills, supervision of midwives, basic GYN surgical (i.e. tubal)
• Support Staff: Administrative assistant that is partially assigned to this service to help with administrative duties.

05/09/2025 7AM – 05/16/2025 7AM

06/20/2025 7AM – 06/28/2025 7AM

REQUIRED:

• Willing to obtain Alaska license
• Board certified- Obstetrics and Gynecology
• State DEA (transferable)
• BLS, ACLS

COMPENSATION:
