Job Responsibilities

The provider will be responsible for managing both low-risk and high-risk pregnancies, interpreting FHR (NST/CST/FSE), and performing and interpreting OB ultrasounds, including Level I screening and Level II targeted scans. They will handle routine and complicated deliveries, including vaginal deliveries, low forceps, C-sections, breech presentations, multiple births, and abruptions, as well as repair 3rd and 4th-degree lacerations. Additionally, they will perform surgical gynecology procedures, including open and laparoscopic diagnostics/minor surgeries (such as tubal ligation and LOA’s) and major operative procedures like ectopic pregnancy management, ovary removal, cystectomy, and extensive LOA’s. The role also includes office/minor gynecology procedures such as IUD placement, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP. VBACs and laser certification are not required.

Must have TN State License and have TN Medicaid
Must be Board-Certified or Board-Eligible
NRP and EFM certifications are required.

Skills

The required skills for this role include managing both low-risk and high-risk pregnancies, FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE), and performing and interpreting OB ultrasounds, including Level I screening (viability) and Level II targeted (anatomic). Proficiency in amniocentesis, routine vaginal deliveries (including low forceps), and decision-making for C-sections is essential. The provider must be skilled in handling complicated deliveries such as C-sections, breech presentations, multiple births, and abruptions, as well as repairing 3rd and 4th-degree lacerations. Surgical gynecology expertise is required, including open procedures, laparoscopic diagnostics/minor surgeries (such as tubal ligation, LOA’s, and chromopertubation), and major operative procedures like ectopic pregnancy management, ovary removal, cystectomy, and extensive LOA’s. Additional skills in office/minor gynecology, including IUD placement, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP, are necessary. However, VBACs and laser certification are not required.
