- As soon as credentialed - ongoing
- Anticipated locums coverage for 6 months
- Cover clinic and hospital locations
• Schedule
- 1-2 clinic days per week
- 24-hour in-house hospital call (1:6 schedule) - 8am-8am
- 6 call shifts per month, 5-8 clinic shifts per month
• Clinical Details
- Outpatient: 15-20 patients/day
- Inpatient: Deliveries (45-55/month), with 25-30% C-section rate
- No abortions or postpartum tubal ligations (except during C-sections)
- Mix of outpatient clinic and hospital call responsibilities, laborist role
- Patient Demographics: Mostly low-risk, underserved populations
- NICU Level: III
- Clinic: 3 suites with 2 exam rooms each
- Average Deliveries/Day: Approximately 1.5/day
- C-section Team: Provider must assist
- Required to monitor patient if on Pitocin (or another medication to increase contractions) and will need to be onsite
- OB hospitalists are required to be in hospital during entire call shift
- Expectation to assist with GYN surgeries for any urgent OBGYN case that arises while on-call
• Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible
- ACGME Accredited Residency
- DEA, BLS, ACLS
- CA State License
- Clean Malpractice
- Non-issued files/licenses only
- Bilingual providers - Strongly Preferred
- Local candidates - Preferred
- Recent laborist experience training rather than mostly Gyn and aesthetics
- Required Procedures: Vaginal deliveries, C-sections (assist required), Sterilizations, birth control, laparoscopic tubals

- Clinic: Full-time ultrasonographer with 30+ years of experience, 1 RN managing diabetic patients and NSTs
- Hospital: Ultrasonographer and 24/7 anesthesia coverage (10 MDs)
