Chairperson, Department of OB/GYN Bridgeport, CT (Permanent) Distance to Metro: Less than 1 hour from New York City About the Opportunity: A leading healthcare system in Bridgeport, CT is seeking a Chairperson for the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at St. Vincent's Medical Center (SVMC). This is an exceptional leadership opportunity for a charismatic and skilled OB/GYN physician to oversee the department s clinical, academic, and operational aspects. Position Highlights: Oversee the OB/GYN department and lead safety, quality, and service initiatives Lead program development in Obstetrics & Gynecology, including gynecologic oncology and urogynecology Supervise a robust hospitalist program with advanced practitioner support Provide leadership and education as the primary OB teaching site director for the Frank H. Netter School of Medicine Family Practice Residency Program Engage in medical education by teaching medical students and physician assistant students Collaborate with hospital leadership on programmatic growth and system integration Hospital & Program Features: Southern flagship hospital in the largest integrated healthcare system in Connecticut 1,500 annual deliveries with a Level 3A NICU 500 gynecologic procedures performed annually 24-hour in-house support from Obstetrics, Pediatrics, and Anesthesia Teaching affiliation with Quinnipiac University s Frank H.
