DESCRIPTION:

• OB Hospitalist need
• Need 5-7 shifts per month covered
• 24 hour shifts only (7a-7a)
• Type of Patients/Cases/Procedures: standard deliveries, c-sections, OB/GYN emergency
• Patients per Day/Volume: hospital has 12 deliveries/month avg.; 258 monthly patient encounters
• Support Staff: MFM, Neo, OB, in-house ANES
• NICU Level: 3
• Hospitalist to provide GYN coverage: YES
• Hospitalist required to perform circumcisions: No
• Estimated Deliveries for hospitalist (monthly) 12
• Estimated patient encounters per Hospitalist (monthly- not including deliveries): 258
• Support Staff: MFM ON SITE, NEO'S, OBSTETRICIANS, In-house anesthesia **must work well with local clinicians, midwives, and nursing staff and be service minded & accommodating**
• Hospitalist needed for first assist: OCCASIONALLY
• First Assist Available to the Hospitalists: YES
• Backup available to hospitalist: YES

REQUIRED:

• TX state license; active, unrestricted
• Board certified OBGYN
• TX State DEA
• BLS, ACLS + Fetal Heart Monitoring
• 100 deliveries in past 24 months no assisted, but preformed
• 25 GYN Cases in the last 12 months

COMPENSATION:

• Competitive Market Rate (rate based on availability, experience, certifications, housing and transportation needs, etc
• Malpractice insurance provided
