Job Title: OBGYN Hospitalist

Location: USA Children's and Women's Hospital, Mobile, Alabama

Job Description:

USA Children's and Women's Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced OBGYN Hospitalist to join our team. Our hospital is renowned for delivering the most advanced care in the region and is the leading facility for childbirth in Mobile. We are committed to providing exceptional care to women and children with a family-centered approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care for inpatient obstetric and gynecologic patients.
• Manage obstetric emergencies and urgent needs, including triage and OB ED services.
• Oversee labor and delivery, including interpretation of EFM strips, performing amniotomies, and monitoring laboring patients.
• Conduct GYN consultations for hospitalized patients and the main ED.
• Serve as a member and leader of the OB Rapid Response Team.
• Assist in surgical procedures for other OBs or gynecologists.
• Participate in patient safety and quality review committees.
• Enforce quality metrics and evidence-based medicine practices.
• Provide education and supervision to residents, fellows, midwives, and advanced practice nurses.

Qualifications:

• Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  
• Proven ability to manage acute and emergent clinical circumstances in obstetric care.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Commitment to patient safety and quality improvement.
