• Clinical Details

• On-call for hospital, primarily OB call for family birth center
• Likely will not have emergent GYN cases
• Hospital staffs 44 beds (med/surg, ICU, and birth center)
• Average of one delivery per day
• Onsite lab and ultrasound available
• Not covering office visits
• 21% of patients require C-sections
• Average of one nursery admission per day
• Nursery Level I

• Requirements

• Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible OB/GYN
• Active OH license
• NRP
• Clean malpractice history - Highly Preferred
• Required Obstetrics Procedures:
  • Low-risk pregnancy management, High-risk pregnancy management, OB ultrasounds – Performance of Level I/Screening (Viability), Fetal heart rate interpretation – NST/CST/FSE
• Labor and Delivery Required Procedures:
  • Routine vaginal delivery, low forceps, decision-making for C-section, Complicated deliveries – C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, Repair of 3rd & 4th-degree lacerations
• Gynecology Required Procedures:
  • Surgical gynecology – Open procedures, Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures (tubal ligation, LOA’s, chromal tubation), Operative/major procedures (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOAs)

• Call

• 24-hours on call
• This is off site - the provider must be within 30 minutes of the facility
• Only OB/GYN on call (typical call is 1:3 for OB/GYN)

• Support Staff

• RNs, RTs, CRNAs, anesthesiologist
• Physician team includes 3 OB/GYNs and 1 GYN
