Central Texas! We are hiring for a OB/ GYN Physician for inpatient coverage!

Job Details:

• Start Date: As soon as credentialing is complete

• Schedule: Full-time is considered 7.5 24-hour shifts a month. Will consider someone who wants to work a minimum of 5.5 24-hour shifts/month

• Setting: Inpatient

• Call coverage: None

Procedures/ responsibilities:

• 5% of the vaginal and C-section deliveries performed by hospitalists.

• Manage a 40% C-section rate in the delivery caseload.

• Oversee 2,296 unscheduled outpatient OB/GYN triage visits annually.

• Conduct 1,229 OBED consults each year.

• Collaborate with in-house neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitioners in a Level II NICU setting.

• Work with maternal-fetal medicine specialists to manage high-risk pregnancies.

• Perform tasks including OB triage, admissions, attending deliveries, and inpatient care.

• Provide care for unassigned patients and assist with private call coverage.

• Cover the OB floor and handle ER consults for GYN emergencies.

• Assist in surgical procedures during Cesarean sections.

Job Requirements:

• TRULY Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in OB/GYN

• Active TX license (or in process)

• Clean malpractice and license history
