**OB-GYN Opportunity in Annapolis, MD** - Full-time, permanent position **Position Objective:** To deliver comprehensive medical care and services to patients within the OB-GYN specialty, adhering to the rules, regulations, and policies established by the State of Maryland, BPQA, AMA, HCFA, and AAMC. **Essential Job Duties:** Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. - **Patient Care and Education:** - Provide education and counseling to patients tailored to their medical needs. - **Licensure and Continuing Education:** - Maintain current Maryland state licensure and fulfill continuing medical education (CME) requirements. - **Collaboration with Physicians:** - Communicate and collaborate with other physicians regarding treatment plans and therapies for patients. - **On-Call Responsibilities:** - Participate in scheduled on-call rotations for the group. - **Specialist Referrals and Adherence:** - Refer patients to specialists as needed. - Perform duties in accordance with routine procedures established by Maryland s BPQA, AMA, HCFA, and AAHS policies. **Educational and Experience Requirements:** - Graduate of an accredited medical school (Doctor of Medicine or equivalent). - Successful completion of a residency program in the OB-GYN specialty. **Required Licenses and Certifications:** - Active **Maryland State medical license** to practice medicine. - Valid **DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration)** license. - Valid **CDS (Controlled Dangerous Substances)** certification. - Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology. **Working Conditions and Physical Demands:** - **Exposure:** - Reasonable expectation of exposure to bloodborne pathogens. - **Work Environment:** - Conditions and physical demands described are representative of those encountered while performing essential duties. - Reasonable accommodations provided for individuals with disabilities in compliance with the **Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)**. **Additional Information:** This job description offers an overview of the essential functions and qualifications for the OB-GYN position.
