Obstetrics Care: Provide prenatal, labor, and delivery care for pregnant women. Manage and monitor the health of both the mother and the fetus throughout pregnancy and childbirth, including performing cesarean sections and other childbirth procedures when necessary.
Gynecological Care: Diagnose, treat, and manage various gynecological conditions, including menstrual disorders, menopause, pelvic pain, abnormal pap smears, sexually transmitted infections, and other reproductive health issues.
Well-Woman Exams: Conduct routine well-woman exams, including screenings for cervical and breast cancer, and provide preventive care to women across all ages.
Surgical Procedures: Perform gynecological surgeries such as hysterectomies, laparoscopies, and other minimally invasive and traditional procedures as needed.
Patient Education: Educate patients about pregnancy, contraception, reproductive health, and lifestyle choices that impact women’s health.
Collaborative Care: Work as part of a healthcare team that includes nurses, nurse practitioners, and other specialists, ensuring comprehensive care for patients.
Emergency Care: Provide care in emergency situations, such as complications during pregnancy, miscarriages, or gynecological emergencies.
Family Planning: Offer counseling on birth control options, fertility, and family planning.
Postpartum Care: Provide care for women during the postpartum period, monitoring recovery after childbirth, and addressing any complications that arise.
Clinical Documentation: Maintain thorough and accurate medical records, including patient history, examination results, diagnoses, and treatments.
On-call Responsibilities: Depending on the practice, participate in after-hours or weekend on-call rotations to handle emergencies, labor and delivery, and other OB/GYN-related needs.

Qualifications

Board Certified OB/GYN (ABOG) - Required
Active UT license - Required
Active BLS, CSR - Required
Active DEA - Required

Working Hours

Mon, Tues, & Thurs - Clinic - 9a-5p + 24 hour call with surgery assist
