Job Title: Obstetrician & Gynecologist (OB/GYN) – 24 Hour Call Coverage

Location: Omaha, NE & Council Bluffs, IA

Job Type: On Call (Daily), 24 Hour Coverage
Shift Type: 24-hour call (Weekend: Friday 8 AM – Monday 8 AM, two weekends per month)
Rate:

  • On Call (Daily) – $2,400 (includes 8 hours gratis)
  • Call Back – $275 (per hour of patient contact after gratis hours)

Job Description:

Seeking a Board Certified Obstetrician & Gynecologist to provide call coverage for multiple facilities in Omaha and Council Bluffs. The position involves providing 24/7 call coverage for OB/GYN services, including obstetric consults, deliveries, minor/major gynecologic surgeries, rounding, and supporting CNMs and Family Medicine OB providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 24-hour on-call coverage for OB/GYN services at three facilities.
  • Handle obstetric consults, deliveries, and minor/major gynecologic surgeries.
  • Perform rounding duties, including with fellows, and support CNMs and Family Medicine OB providers.
  • Offer consultation and support for labor progression and other obstetric emergencies.
  • Back up CNMs, including being on standby for labor or providing recommendations for labor management.
  • Manage OB/GYN emergency/OR cases as needed.
  • Cover OB/GYN call for a practice of six MDs (4.24 FTEs).

Schedule & Availability:

  • Two weekends per month (Friday 8 AM – Monday 8 AM).
  • Average of 6 days per month.

Required Qualifications:

  • Board Certification in Obstetrics & Gynecology (ABOG) – Required.
  • Ob-Gyn Residency – Required.
  • Licensing: IA and NE licenses preferred; IMLC acceptable.
  • Experience: Must have performed 20+ deliveries in the past year.
  • Clean background and no malpractice history – highly preferred.
  • Credentialing with Client– Required (timeframe: usually 3 weeks).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with EPIC EMR system.
  • Experience working with CNMs and Family Medicine OB providers.
  • Ability to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced, on-call setting.
