Job Description:
  • Full-time is considered 7.5 24-hour shifts a month
  • Will consider someone who wants to work a minimum of 5.5 24-hour shifts/month (still benefit eligible)
  • Seeking a provider who can start with an active Texas license as soon as possible
  • Handle an annual delivery volume of 1,924, with 96 vaginal and C-section deliveries performed by hospitalists.
  • Manage a 40% C-section rate in the delivery caseload.
  • Oversee 2,296 unscheduled outpatient OB/GYN triage visits annually.
  • Conduct 1,229 OBED consults each year.
  • Collaborate with in-house neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitioners in a Level II NICU setting.
  • Work with maternal-fetal medicine specialists to manage high-risk pregnancies.
  • Perform tasks including OB triage, admissions, attending deliveries, and inpatient care.
  • Provide care for unassigned patients and assist with private call coverage.
  • Cover the OB floor and handle ER consults for GYN emergencies.
  • Assist in surgical procedures during Cesarean sections.
  • Respond to emergencies in the labor and delivery unit.

  • Compensation rate: $135/hr
