OBGYN Laborist Locums Job in Massachusetts | February 2025 Start for at Least 6 Months

Coverage Needed:
- OBGYN Inpatient Laborist
- February 2025 through at least August 2025
- Shifts: 12 or 24 hour shifts, 8am – 8pm to 8pm – 8am
- Term of assignment: 6 months to a year

Assignment #106000 Requirements:
- No call
- 1100 deliveries annually
- Procedures: Cesarean, vaginal delivery
- Other responsibilities include ED and phone consult
- Only laborist on but physician back-up always available
- 4 PA’s employed plus Nursing staff
- They accept some high risk patients including twins, gestational diabetics, HTN spectrum, AMA, etc.
- Extremely high-risk patients such as higher order multiples, starting BMI >45, pre gestational diabetics, are referred to tertiary care centers
- On any given shift there are typically 3-4 active labor patients and 10-12 total (including postpartum patients). This is an average - varies day to day.
- MD will have a mid-level on with them (a PA with OB experience, or midwife). This person takes care of the vast majority of the tasks such as rounding on postpartum, discharging patients, etc.
- Fellowship not required
- CSR and DEA required or ability to obtain
