Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide OB/GYN services in both the hospital and office/clinic settings.
  • Clinic: Work 4 days per week, managing both low and high-risk pregnancies.
  • Call: Be available for call coverage approximately 8 days per month, with a 1 in 4 call schedule.
  • Manage a variety of obstetric cases, including routine deliveries, C-sections, and complicated deliveries (e.g., breech, multiple births).
  • Perform gynecological procedures including IUD placement, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, and laparoscopic surgeries.
  • Supervise 2 certified nurse midwives (CNMs) during call shifts, though not providing direct supervision of their clinical duties.
  • OB ultrasounds (level I/screening, viability) and FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE).

  • Low-risk pregnancy: 50%
  • High-risk pregnancy: 50%
  • C-sections: 20%
  • Office GYN: 35%
  • Surgical GYN: N/A (no major surgical procedures)
  • Average patients per day: 15-20 in clinic

    • Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
  • Gynecology:
    • Office-based procedures: IUD placement, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP
    • Surgical procedures: Tubal ligation, laparoscopic minor surgeries, ectopic pregnancy, ovarian removal, cystectomy
