Location: Jackson, Michigan is a city located in the south-central part of the state. It plays an important role in the region both historically and economically. Jackson is situated about 40 miles west of Detroit and 30 miles north of the state line with Ohio.

Facility: Women's Health Center is dedicated to offering a range of healthcare services specifically designed to meet the needs of women at every stage of life.

Opportunity:
  • Looking for a Physician OB/GYN to fill their need!
  • Dates of Coverage: Q1, Q2 2025
  • Schedule: Variable, 12 hour shifts, 36 hours per week
  • Practice Setting: Clinic, Call, and Hospital
  • No weekends!
  • Number of Physicians in Practice: 2
  • Will Other OB/GYNs Provide Coverage During Locums Coverage Dates: Yes-2 providers and then share call with the Center for Family Health
  • How Many APPs Provide Coverage: 2.5 FTE in the clinic
  • Number of Exam Rooms: 10
  • Onsite Lab & Utrasound: YES
  • Support Staff: RNs for intake, MAs, CSR (front desk support).
  • Documentation System/EMR: EPIC
  • Trauma Level 2
  • Required Procedures:
  • Low Risk Pregnancy (i.e. History of Twins, Toxemia, Pyelonephritis, etc.)
  • High Risk Pregnancy (i.e. with Toxemia, Diabetes, Class II or Higher Cardiacs, Chronic Lung Problems, Chronic Renal Disease, etc.
  • Labor and Delivery Required Procedures:
  • Routine Delivery –Vaginal, Low Forceps, Decision-Making for C-Section
  • Complicated Delivery –C-Section, Breech, Multiple Births, Abruptions, etc.
  • VBAC’s
  • Repair of 3rd & 4th Degree Lacerations
  • Gynecology Required Procedures:
  • Office/Minor Gynecology –IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, Cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.
  • Surgical Gynecology – Open
  • Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 90 Days
