Laborist opening in New York **Job Location:** Albany, NY - Full-time, permanent position **Position Overview:** Seeking a full-time OB/GYN physician to join their established and well-respected team at Hospital in Albany, NY. This is a great opportunity to work with a distinguished OB/GYN group that provides advanced care, addressing a wide range of womens health needs, from routine to high-risk pregnancies and specialized gynecologic concerns. **Program Highlights:** - Hospital handles approximately 3,700 deliveries annually. - Team includes specialists in Midwifery, OB/GYN, Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM), and NICU (level 3). **Role Description:** This is an inpatient-only Laborist role at St. Peters 442-bed hospital. Responsibilities include managing laboring patients and overseeing both routine and complex deliveries, including cesarean sections. The schedule is shift-based, with three 15-hour shifts per week. **Requirements:** - Board Certified/Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology. - Strong clinical and communication skills. - Ability to handle routine and high-risk deliveries, with support from MFM physicians. - Team-oriented approach to patient care. **Compensation & Benefits:** - Annual salary: $290,000. - Comprehensive benefits including health, vision, and dental insurance. - Paid malpractice insurance with post-employment tail coverage. - CME time and allowance. - Employer-matching retirement savings program. - Relocation assistance available. **Community Overview:** The Capital District (Albany, Schenectady, and Troy) offers the advantages of an urban area with a scenic, affordable setting.
