Schedule
- 24-hour call shifts from 7a-7a
- Stretches of at least 7 days/month
- Specific Dates:
- Mar 1-27
- Apr 2-12, 17-30
- May 1-31
- June 8-29
- July 7-31
- Aug 1-31
- Sept 1-30
- Ongoing dates will be needed once schedules are released
Clinical Details
- Setting: Clinic and inpatient call
- Physician working in clinic during the week seeing ob/gyn patients for new obstetrics, established obstetrics, new gynecology issues, and surgical consultations
- Surgical blocks are twice per week for non-emergent surgeries
- Shifts are 24 hour shifts from 7 am to 7 am and includes all obstetrics as well as emergency gynecology and obstetric cases
- Patient population: Adult, Adolescent
- Number of beds: 10
- Admissions, Clinic: 16-25; inpatient 3-6
- 50 births a year for each facility
- NICU level 2 for 1 site only
Requirements
- Board Certified OB/GYN
- Willing to accept providers who are truly board eligible (0-5 years of residency)
- Active KS License - Highly Preferred
- open to candidates willing to obtain IMLC
- DEA
- will consider a transferred DEA, however, must keep this DEA for the duration of the assignment, not just for shifts worked
- Clean Malpractice/background - Highly Preferred
- BLS
- Procedure Logs: All OB/GYN procedures including more that 5 c-sections in last 24 months and more than 5 hysterectomies in last 24 months
- Hysterectomies - 5 min
- C-section - 5 min
- Deliveries - 50 min
- Must acknowledge the EMR training requirements
- Will NOT consider candidates wishing to do clinic only
Support Staff
- Lab Tech, LPN/LVN, MA, X-ray Tech, RN
- NICU available staffed with neonatal nurse practitioner with tele-neonatologist back-up
- Facility has back-up with skilled general surgeons & urologist
- Critical care physicians and cardiologists
