We are seeking a skilled Locums OBGYN Physician to provide 24-hour call coverage, including call back, in Tiffin, OH. The physician will manage both obstetric and gynecologic cases, covering hospital ER/GYN and Labor & Delivery (L&D) calls. Call is not in-house, offering flexibility in the schedule. Proficiency in both C-sections and OB/GYN surgeries is essential.
The position involves 24-hour call shifts from 8:00 AM to 8:00 AM, with call back as needed. Coverage includes some weekends as part of the scheduled shifts, and all call duties are managed without an in-house requirement. The physician will be responsible for ER/GYN and L&D call coverage at the hospital.

The Labor & Delivery setup includes 10 beds for Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP), along with 3 Postpartum beds and 1 Triage bed. The case mix comprises approximately 40-50% gynecological cases, with an average of 1-4 GYN surgeries per day, and 15-35% obstetric cases, including C-sections. The nursery has an average daily admission rate of 2-5 newborns, with 3-4 newborns typically in the nursery. Pediatric cases are rare, averaging around 0-1 patient every two months. The nursery is equipped with 12 normal newborn beds; however, there is no Special Care Nursery.
The Locums OBGYN Physician will provide a range of obstetric and gynecological care, including performing C-sections and related OB/GYN surgeries. Additional responsibilities include handling call coverage for ER/GYN and L&D, as well as maintaining accurate documentation in the EPIC EMR system.

Requirements:

  • Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • ACLS and NRP certifications
  • Ohio medical license
