CrossMed is working with an MSP to support a Health System in Delaware to find OB-Hospitalist coverage starting in 2025.


Practice Details
Specialty: OBGYN
EMR system: EPIC
FTE or Shifts per month needed: (7) – 24hr shifts per month at both sites
Target start date and Length of need: January 1st, 2025 – Dec 2025 – ongoing needs, possibly longer

Type of patients / cases / procedures required:
Sussex: OB and GYN. C sections, minor gyn procedures, and any OB related procedures.
Kent: In patient and ED patients. All OB and emergent GYN.

Patient Encounters per shift:
Sussex: 8-12 patients in a 24 hour shift.
Kent: 12-18 per 24 hours

Available support staff:
Sussex: Hospital Nursing Staff and OB Hospitalist who would also be working.
Kent: Midwives and RN’s

Certifications required (Board Certification/Truly Board Eligible or life support, etc.): Board Certified or Eligible OBGYN.


Miscellaneous Information:
Sussex: Hospital averages 65 births per month. This position would be 100% hospital based. OB Hospitalist Group sees all unassigned patients. This position would cover the assigned patients. There is not a NICU at this location. Newborns needing NICU care are transferred to our sister hospital in Dover Delaware or the Nemours Children’s Hospital in Wilmington Delaware.
Kent: OB GYN available to work independently with a diverse population in a friendly and collaborative work environment. Inpatient volume= @125 monthly births ; NICU level= 2
