**Responsibilities:**
Physicians in this role work to:
- Provide comprehensive care, including treating chronic illnesses and advising on preventative healthcare.
- Perform physical exams, take medical histories, interpret diagnostic tests, and recommend treatment plans.
**Physician Requirements:**
- Graduation from an accredited medical school (M.D./D.O.).
- Successful completion of residency at an accredited healthcare institution.
- Current North Carolina Medical Board Medical License (M.D./D.O.).
- Board certification in primary care or related field.
- Current American Heart Association or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration for prescription writing.
