OBGYN opening in California - Located in Modesto, CA - San Francisco 90m - Full-time, permanent position - Salary of $321,000- $350,000 - M-F 8-5 Or 4x10s - Required to participate in call-coverage, minimum of 6-8 days per month - For an 8/hour work day, provider will see an average of 24 patients/day in clinic, for a 10/hour work day, provider will see an average of 27 patients/ day in clinic. - FQHC Site, Score of 18 Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Will be assigned a minimum of 20 vaginal or cesarean deliveries per month. - Complicated or potentially litigious care shall be reported promptly to the Medical Director. - Records of services rendered shall be submitted to the billing department in a timely fashion. This shall include a summary statement at the end of the month. - Shall keep a calendar roster of obstetrical patients according to the patients EDC to allow convenient monitoring of the expected delivery load. - Delivery and surgical candidates must meet financial prepayment criteria approved by the Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors. - Goal of 12-15 patient encounters/4 per hour period (3600 pts/yr), and (6) 4 hour sessions/week. - Establish and oversee an OB-GYN appointment scheduling system for yourself and any mid level providers under your supervision. - Coordinate scheduling with other areas of the clinic operation through the Medical Director and Head Nurse/Office Coordinator. - Clinic coverage shall include regular time spent in at WHC/McHenry and other Golden Valley Health Centers clinic sites, such as Los Banos and Dos Palos, when the need is established. - Provide direct supervision to the certified nurse midwife or other midlevel provider assigned to the practice. This includes development of a work agreement or protocol which outlines the extent and limits of their function within existing state or federal statutes. - Develop a Family Planning Permanent Sterilization protocol according to state OFP guidelines. - Assist Medical Director in arranging OB-GYN coverage during times when you will be unavailable due to approved leave. This includes establishment of a regular call schedule at least one month in advance for distribution to the clinic staff, answering service and on-call associates. - Serve as a consultant and participant in the Perinatal project.
