The Quality Improvement Coordinator plays an essential role in supporting quality initiatives by assisting with data entry and extraction of healthcare quality metrics. The role also involves providing administrative support, such as coordinating meetings, tracking performance metrics, and ensuring policy compliance. We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented individual with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

Data Management & Reporting:

  • Input and manage healthcare quality data within internal and external platforms (e.g., Excel, EPIC, RedCap).
  • Perform basic data extractions and generate reports for key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Assist with data quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency before submissions.
  • Prepare performance summaries and simple presentations for management.

Administrative Support:

  • Support the Director of Quality with scheduling, meeting coordination, and preparing agendas.
  • Maintain calendars and track deadlines for ongoing projects.
  • Organize and facilitate cross-functional meetings between clinical and administrative staff.

Audit & Quality Compliance:

  • Conduct basic audits of clinical records to ensure compliance with standards and policies.
  • Identify missing documentation and follow up with staff to ensure records are complete.
  • Assist with monitoring clinical compliance and provide feedback when needed.

Quality Improvement & Program Support:

  • Support quality initiatives by assisting with data analysis and tracking progress on KPIs.
  • Monitor improvement activities and highlight areas of concern or success.
  • Help prepare for accreditation processes and external audits by organizing data.

Communication & Collaboration:

  • Serve as a liaison between clinical teams, quality management staff, and external partners.
  • Participate in quality-focused meetings and provide input as needed.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Experience:

  • Experience in healthcare, data entry, or quality assurance is a plus.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems (e.g., EPIC) and healthcare metrics is desirable

Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
