Job Description
A healthcare organization in New York City is currently seeking a licensed OB/GYN for a promising position at their growing Queens facility. In this role, the OB/GYN will be responsible for caring for and treating women during prenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods as well as treating diseases of female anatomy.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Daytime
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (one Saturday per month)
- Hours: 8am to 6pm (one late night shift per week)
- Setting: Outpatient
- Patient Volume: 2 to 3 per hour
- Provider has Opportunity to do deliveries at hospitals if desired
Responsibilities:
The OB/GYN will:
- Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical histories, reports, and examination results
- Maintain complete and accurate medical records
- Review patient's history and perform physical examination
- Care for and treat women during prenatal, natal, and postnatal periods
- Treat diseases of female organ
- Advise patients and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention
- Perform cesarean sections or other surgical procedures as needed to preserve patients' health and deliver babies safely
Qualifications:
- M.D. / D.O.
- Board Eligible / Certified
- DEA/BLS/ACLS
- 2+ years experience
- Interest in Population Health
Desired Skills:
- Laparoscopically trained
