An outpatient health care facility in New York City is seeking a licensed OB/GYN to join one of their facilities in Manhattan.

Responsibilities:

The OB/GYN will:

  • Conduct routine gynecological examinations, including Pap smears, breast exams, and pelvic exams to screen for and diagnose various health issues
  • Provide comprehensive prenatal care to pregnant women, including regular check-ups, monitoring fetal development, and addressing any pregnancy-related concerns or complications
  • Manage and assist in the childbirth process, either through vaginal delivery or cesarean section, ensuring the safety and well-being of both the mother and the newborn
  • Provide postpartum care to new mothers, addressing physical and emotional recovery, as well as providing guidance on newborn care and breastfeeding
  • Diagnose and treat a variety of reproductive health issues, such as endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and uterine fibroids
  • Screen for and treat gynecological cancers, such as cervical, ovarian, and uterine cancers, and refer patients for further evaluation and treatment as needed
  • Perform surgical procedures, including minimally invasive laparoscopic surgeries, for conditions like ectopic pregnancies, ovarian cysts, and fibroids
  • Diagnose and treat pelvic floor disorders, including incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse, often using physical therapy or surgical interventions
  • Educate patients about their reproductive health, providing information on various medical conditions, treatment options, and healthy lifestyle choices
  • Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

  • Doctorate of Medicine or Osteopathy
  • Completion of 4 years OB/GYN residency
  • MIGS training or "grandfathered" status
  • 1+ years of experience practicing Post-Residency in hospital or private practice
