  • Other Details: The facility, which is stroke-certified, trauma level 3, and PEDs level 2, is looking for a provider to cover on-site clinical hours only. 12-15 shifts per month. Schedule will be night shift 7:00p-7:00a during the week (Primary Need), day 7a-7p. Can schedule up to 36 hours blocks on weekends. Key responsibilities are to attend to obstetric emergencies and provide timely intervention during labor and delivery, to conduct thorough assessments of patients, including prenatal, postpartum, and gynecologic examinations. To perform deliveries, both vaginal and cesarean sections, as required, and provide immediate postpartum care. Take assigned and unassigned Emergency Dept. calls for GYN and OB patients. Perform urgent and emergent gynecology consults, including surgical inventions for hospital patients. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses, midwives, and anesthesiologists, to ensure comprehensive patient care. Participate in patient education regarding prenatal and postpartum care, family planning, and general women's health. Respond promptly to obstetric and gynecologic consultations, contributing to a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Keep accurate and detailed medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Stay updated on the latest advancements in obstetric and gynecologic medicine through continuous education and professional development. There's an average of 3-6 patients per shift and 24 beds in the department.
