Job Duties
- Required Procedures: General OB/GYN procedures
- Responsibilities:
- See patients in clinic
- Provide deliveries and procedures in the hospital
- Group call coverage
- EMR System: Epic
- Support Staff: Medical Assistant (MA)
Reason for Coverage
- Departure of existing physician and another physician ramping down in preparation for retirement.
EMR Training Requirements
- Modules: Must complete prior to virtual EMR training
- Training: Schedule and complete virtual EMR training before first day to avoid missing the first shift
Travel Preferences
- Lodging: Up to 1.5 times the current GSA rate if preferred hotel is unavailable
- Air Travel: $750 round trip cap
- Rental Cars: $65/day cap (including taxes and fees)
- Mileage: IRS standard rate
Patient Population
- Census: Adult, adolescent, geriatric
- Anticipated Patient Volume: 2-3 patient calls per month for every 7 days of call
Call Coverage
- Call Dynamics: GYN emergencies only at SL, very few (1 every couple of months); family medicine handles most issues
Requirements
- Board Certification: OB/GYN required or Truly BE (0-5 years post-residency)
- Active UT License: Highly preferred
- Certifications: Active BLS or PALS, controlled substance required; active DEA required (transferred DEA considered)
- EMR Training Acknowledgment: Must understand and commit to training requirements
- Shift Availability: Minimum of 8 shifts per month, starting November 2024 (note availability in submission)
