Overview

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) has an OBGYN Generalist opportunity at NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan. Metropolitan Hospital is a community hospital located in East Harlem and has been certified as a Baby-Friendly hospital by the World Health Organization. The Staff is comprised of full-time faculty OBGYN Generalists, as well as subspecialists, including Urogynecologists and Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeons. Metropolitan Hospital features a Level III NICU, state of the art Labor and Delivery suites, a dedicated Postpartum pavilion, and a AIUM certified ultrasound unit. On average, the OBGYN service has 900 live births annually. The hospital maintains an academic affiliation with New York Medical College.

Opportunity Details

  • Examines patients, orders or performs appropriate diagnostic tests.
  • Arrange for discharge and after care.
  • Develops assessment and treatment plan.
  • Write/dictate admission, progress, procedure notes and discharge summaries.
  • Provides patient education and counseling covering health status, test results, disease processes and discharge planning.
  • Formulates diagnosis, directs or performs appropriate therapeutic treatment and counsels patients.

  • Board Certified or Eligible in General Obstetrics & Gynecology

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $260,000* (board eligible); $270,000* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $436,500** (board eligible) and $449,150** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, fringe benefits, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $67,600***.
  • Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
    • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
    • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
  • Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
