Physician - Obstetrician-Gynecologist (OB/GYN)


J Edward Staffing is seeking an experienced and dedicated OB/GYN Physician to join the medical team at a large military hospital located in Florida. This position offers a unique opportunity to serve active-duty service members, veterans, and their families in a professional and supportive healthcare environment.

Job Responsibilities

Practice Specific Details and Tasks: The duties include, but are not limited to the following:

Perform a full range of physician services 

• Direct, perform, or assist in the instruction of other health care professionals within the scope of the clinical privileges or responsibilities.
• Examine, diagnose, treat or prescribe courses of treatment within the scope of training, experience, and privileges.
• Provide preventive and health maintenance care, including annual physicals, positive health behaviors, and self-care skills through education and counseling.
• Order diagnostic tests as applicable as well as request consultation or referral with appropriate physicians, clinics, or other health resources as indicated.
• Technically proficient in directing and teaching other medical staff, providing educational lectures, and participating in the provision of in-service training to clinic staff members. Such direction and interaction will adhere to Government and professional clinical standards and accepted clinical protocols.

• Shall be subject to technical direction and/or guidance of the designated Government official.
• Shall be under the administrative supervision of the Chief of Obstetrics or his/her designee.
• Shall be monitored by the 96th Medical Group's Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan,
• Shall participate in the monthly peer review process of clinical skills; a minimum of 10 routine cases seen in the last 30 days. This will involve both a review of his/her patient care via review of clinical notes and or performance. Shall also provide the same peer review for the other Obstetrics & Gynecology physicians.

Qualifications

* Degree/Education: MD or DO; internship/residency in Obstetrics-Gynecology
* Experience: Minimum 36 months within the last 48 months
* Licensure: Active/clear license to practice as a physician from Florida
* DEA: Current and active DEA certification
* Clinical Board Certification: Board-Certified as an OB/GYN Physician by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
* Life Support Certifications: BLS/ACLS and NRP

Working Hours

Work Schedule: Normal schedule is 9 hours between 6:00am and 6:00pm, Mon - Fri with a one-hour lunch. On-Call: Up to 2 weeks per month. Call-Back required, minimal
