Location: At the base of the Rocky Mountains, Southern Colorado! About 100 miles south of Denver!

Facility: A healthcare provider that offers a range of services focused on women's health. They typically provide care such as routine gynecological exams, prenatal and postnatal care, menopause management, and other specialized treatments related to women’s health.

Opportunity:
  • Schedule: Clinic Mon-Thus is 9a – 4:30p and Fri is 9a – 3:30p. 24 hour call from 7am Sunday – 7am Monday.
  • Call-back Percentage: Weekdays 2%, Weekend 5%, OB 20%, GYN 80%
  • Locum tenens will work at satellite locations: No
  • Dates of Coverage: ASAP to August 2025
  • Caseload:
    • Percentage of the Practice: Low risk pregnancy 40%, High risk pregnancy 30%, C-Section 30%, Office GYN 80%, Surgical GYN 20%
    • Average number of patients per day: Clinic 20, Hospital 1-2
    • Average number of deliveries per physician: 3
    • Average number of GYN Surgeries per week: Clinic 1-3, Hospital 1-2
    • OB/GYNs in your group: 5
    • Mid-levels: 3.5
    • Locum tenens physician required to supervise other healthcare providers: No
    • Other OB/GYNs be present during locum tenens coverage: Yes
  • Documentation: EMR for Clinic and Hospital
  • Required Areas/Procedures:
    • Low risk pregnancy – Pt’s with pre-existing problems, history of twins, history of toxemia,pyelonephritis, hyperemesis,etc.
    • High risk pregnancy – Pt.’s with toxemia, diabetes, Class II or higher cardiacs, chronic lung problems, chronic renal disease, etc.
    • FHR interpretation – NST/CST/FSE
    • OB ultrasounds - Level I/screening (viability) & Level II/targeted (anatomic)
    • Routine delivery–Vaginal, low forceps, decision-making for C-section
    • Complicated delivery –C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, etc.
    • VBAC’s
    • Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
    • Office/minor gynecology –IUD, Cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.
    • Surgical gynecology *– open laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only –tubal ligation, LOA’s, chromal tubation & operative/major (includes diagnostic) – ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA’s
