Job Description

Last Update: 8/15/24

A busy well-established group in North Central CT is looking to add 1 and possibly 2 to their thriving practice. This group has longevity and stability as physicians don’t leave. They are looking for a team player who enjoys doing both OB and GYN and someone looking to settle in the area and become a partner. They practice full-scope OB and GYN and offer family planning. This is an important part of their practice and new hires must be comfortable with this. If a candidate isn’t trained to do TOPs, the physicians will train. They do about 200 deliveries annually (avg. 16 monthly so between 3-5 per provider monthly) and are much more GYN weighted (30/70 OB/GYN ratio). They average 25 patients per provider, they do a large array of in-office procedures and MIGS and Robotics at the hospital and the new physician will be busy fast and get exposure to a large array of complex surgical cases (and other physicians and a PA do Robotics so there is mentoring if desired). The hospital is a community-based facility with a level IIB nursery and all services in-house and physicians can follow patients to UCONN Farmington if necessary. The call is taken from home and is equally shared and will be 1:5 on weekdays and weekends with your post-call day off. Several of the providers do Robotics and will train, mentor and assist. They see a mix of patients and about 10% Medicaid. They do the full gamut of office GYN surgery including sono-hysterograms, D&C, LEEP, Essure, and Hysteroscopy. All physicians are AIUM certified and they work out of 2 fully equipped offices with ultrasound. The group believes in mentoring the new physician with OB and GYN and will double scrub and follow surgeries and deliveries until the new hire is comfortable. They are looking for someone easygoing, hard-working, and committed to the area. Offer includes a competitive base and vacation which increases annually, CME time and stipend, full health and disability benefits, and productivity incentives. On average, a Full-Time partner makes between 400K and 500K. A partnership is usually offered after 3 years but they are willing to discuss a partnership after 2 years.
