Locum Tenens - Obstetrics and Gynecology - Sylva, NC Assignment Details: Coverage Dates: October 2024 - Ongoing Specific dates coverage is needed: Oct: 10.28.24 @ 0620-10.30.24 @ 0700 Nov: 18-21, 25, 27-Dec 1 Dec: 6-10, 15, 20, 23-24, 31 Ongoing 2025 Rate: Negotiable (tell us your rate) Friday - Tuesday coverage needed each week. Weekdays will include clinic coverage as well as call. On weekdays, call will be assisted by midwives. Weekend coverage would be physician call only. Practice Setting: Outpatient and Inpatient Scheduled Clinical Hours Plus Call Requirements: Board Certification: Yes Licensure: Licensed in NC only Certifications: ACLS Clean History Required Additional Information: Privileges Required: Yes Admissions Required: Yes Temporary Privileges Available: Yes Facility is not Stroke Certified Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days, but temporary privileges available with clean malpractice and NPDB EMR System: McKesson and Athena Facility Accepts Multiple Providers: Yes Work Schedule: Patients Per Shift: 4-6 in hospital, up to 15 in clinic Bed In Department: 15 Rounding: Both Support Staff: RN: 2 MA: 3 CMA, 4 other PA/NPs: 4 CMN Office Staff: 4 Call Details: Call Type: Beeper Call Response Time Required: 30 minutes Phone Consults: 0-3 Patients Seen: 4-6 Call Back %: 100% Admissions: 4 Specialty Skills Required: Low risk pregnancy High risk pregnancy FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE) OB Ultrasounds (Level I/Screening, Level II/Targeted) Amniocentesis Routine delivery (vaginal, low forceps) Decision-making for C-section Complicated delivery (C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions) VBACs Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations Office/minor gynecology (IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP) Surgical gynecology (open, laparoscopic diagnostic/minor surgeries like tubal ligation, extensive LOAs) Operative/major surgeries (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy) Laser certification Description/Other Details: Friday - Tuesday coverage needed each week. Weekdays will include clinic coverage as well as call. On weekdays, call will be assisted by midwives. Weekend coverage would be physician call only. Requirements: 50 deliveries including 12 cesareans within 12 months, 25 GYN surgeries including 5 major vaginal and abdominal cases, all cases within 12 months.
