Job Responsibilities

GYN Coverage: Provide comprehensive GYN care and coverage within the hospital setting.
First Assist: Required to provide first assist during surgeries as needed.
Family Practice Backup: Offer backup support for family practice physicians, though this is a rare occurrence.
Midwife Support: Act as a backup for midwives, ensuring continuity of care and support during deliveries.
Backup Availability: Be available for backup as required, with support from Providence Medical Group Physicians or The Everett Clinic Physicians.
Labor and Delivery: Manage and oversee labor and delivery, with approximately 330 deliveries per month, and around 4,000 deliveries annually.
Patient Encounters: Handle an estimated 3,461 annual patient encounters, excluding deliveries.
NICU Collaboration: Work closely with the Level III NICU team to provide care for newborns requiring specialized attention.
MFM Support: Collaborate with Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialists, who are available 24/7 on call.
Anesthesia Collaboration: Partner with the neonatal coverage team consisting of 1 physician and an Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) from Seattle Children's Hospital.
EMR System: Utilize Epic EMR for all patient records and documentation.
Residency Program: Engage with the Family Medicine Residency Program within the hospital to support training and education efforts.

Qualifications

Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Valid state medical license.
Strong clinical skills and the ability to provide high-quality care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
