Join the values-based, collaborative group of physicians and advanced practice providers at the IU Health Southern Indiana Physicians Women's Health practice. We are seeking a board certified/eligible OB Laborist to join our compassionate team in the picturesque town of Bloomington, Indiana. This opportunity allows our patients access to improved health care at the new IU Health Bloomington Hospital (named as a high-performing hospital for maternity care by U.S. News & World Report) along with satellite locations in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work/life balance valued with excellent schedule
  • 24 hour shifts preferred, manage OBED, unassigned patients, and backup for practice group including deliveries (vaginal & cesarean), supervision of APP and CNM, other emergency procedures, as needed

Qualifications:

  • Completion of ABMS OB/GYN residency
  • Board Eligible/Board Certified OB/GYN
  • New graduates or experienced physicians encouraged to apply
  • Physician MD/DO licensed in Indiana or eligible for medical licensure

Hospital Overview

The new IU Health Bloomington Hospital and Regional Academic Health Center opened in December 2021. The facility offers a personalized approach to inpatient services (including intensive care, complex surgeries and comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology services), outpatient services with leading-edge diagnostic testing, flexible space in the emergency department for post-care observation, a dedicated trauma center and a cancer infusion center.

At the same time, the facility strengthens healthcare education by providing space for collaboration and coordination of care and teaching. Students and trainees frequently come to the hospital side of the facility for clinical experiences.
