- This is for a Site Medical Director Position. There is a annual 30K stipend for this position that is paid out in monthly increments. This will be prorated based on start date
- Talent development, succession planning, team member evaluations and feedback (regular cadence) emphasizing expectations, and accountability; chart audits as needed
- Engagement/recognition/regular meeting cadence with team members and Ops; share metrics/MM performance/Rev CDI or Zotec feedback
- Assist recruiting, onboarding, orientation of physicians (and APPs if applicable to your site)
- Scheduling; address team concerns timely; submit admin activity logs to RMD/Ops/NMD
- Advocate for patients/families, incorporate patient feedback in decision-making, respond to concerns
- Work to identify/implement programs to improve patient experience and understanding
- Drive outcomes and quality initiatives based on results/evidence, participate in staff education, assist Ops
- Participate in multidisciplinary facility meetings/present admin reports (regular cadence)
- Internal CQC/Doc Ed/OBHM SMD/LIC meetings; regularly cascade recommendations to teams
- Partner with hospital teams, Envision Ops/strategy teams to grow and message corporate initiatives
- Partner with private physicians/department to identify opportunities for assistance
- Transport team participation where applicable
- Build relationships with other hospital leaders, SMDs, OBHMs, and Envision leaders
- Participate in business/clinical leadership development opportunities as appropriate
- Have regular pre-meets with Ops team, touch base meetings with hospital leaders with a standard agenda (including operational/quality metrics), address admin concerns timely
- Work with hospital to find unique solutions to challenges
- Participate in department meetings
- Consider participation in peer review, quality and safety, other hospital leadership activities
- Beds in Facility: 293
- Nursery Bed Size: 16 beds with ability to expand to 24
- Average daily Census: L&D: 7; Mother Baby: 13
- Annual Births/deliveries: 2300
- C-Section rate: NTSV Rate – 26.8%
- EMR: Epic
- Patients Per Shift: 10 encounters
- Level III NICU
- Subspeciality Backup: MFM, Gyn-Onc, Intensivist, Medical Subspecialties
- Responsibilities:
- OBED
- Unassigned OB and GYN care (including emergency Gyn surgery, ED and inpatient consults)
- Call coverage for private physicians (when services census and acuity allow)
- Emergency Ob and Gyn care for inpatients (until private attending arrival)
- Active TX License Required (will accept those that need to apply for state license)
- No Call
- Board Certified Required
- Required Procedures: general obstetrics and gynecologic surgical procedures
- Weekend Required
- Minimum Number of Shifts Per Month: 6
