We are seeking a Locums Board Certified OBGYN Physician for a locum tenens position in Lapeer, MI. The physician will provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, including low-risk pregnancies, high-risk deliveries, and various gynecologic procedures. This position involves 24-hour shifts encompassing patient care and on-call duties.
Responsibilities include performing and interpreting fetal heart rate monitoring, conducting ultrasounds, amniocentesis, and managing routine and complicated deliveries. The physician will also facilitate vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC) procedures and perform repair of 3rd and 4th degree perineal lacerations. Office-based procedures such as IUD insertions, cystoscopy, LEEP, colposcopy, and cryosurgery are also part of the role.
Operative procedures include ectopic pregnancy management, ovary removal, cystectomy, and laparoscopic-assisted hysterectomies (LOA). The physician must be Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, with an active Michigan Medical License and Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) at the time of submission.   • Active Michigan Medical License with Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) at the time of submission.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • DEA registration.
  • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification preferred
