The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Los Angeles General Medical Center is seeking clinical faculty, specific General OB/GYN to join the team. In addition to clinical services, these physicians will be involved in trainee education, clinical research, and improving the delivery of care. About the Division of Obstetrics and Gynecology

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Los Angeles Medical Center offers comprehensive women's health services. Trained doctors, nurses, and staff provide essential services to the unique physical and emotional needs of women. Our state-of-the-art facilities use cutting-edge technology, comfortable treatment rooms, and world-class care management to promote and optimize the life for all women within Los Angeles County. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology’s main function is to train residents in the clinical and surgical areas of benign gynecology. Additionally, during the required departmental clerkship (Year III), medical students are taught the fundamentals of our specialty in both clinical and didactic sessions. A diverse, talented faculty instructs and supervises in the following areas: Advanced Endoscopy: laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, Adnexal Pathology, including ovarian neoplasms, Endometriosis, Pelvic Infections, lower and upper tracts, Urinary Incontinence, diagnosis and therapy, Pelvic Floor Disorders: diagnosis and correction, Myomata Uteri, Sexuality: normal and dysfunctional, Breast: evaluation and therapy, Pre-and Postoperative Care

The Division of Gynecologic Oncology offers a comprehensive diagnostic and treatment program for premalignant and malignant diseases of the female reproductive tract. This includes the most advanced surgical procedures, reconstructive surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and genetic counseling. Reconstruction includes reestablishing bowel continuity, continent urinary diversion, and development of a functional neovagina. The Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine provides consultative care to pregnant women throughout the greater Los Angeles Area. The division consists of clinicians who specialize in prenatal diagnosis, obstetrical complications, fetal anomalies and maternal medical diseases in pregnancy. Reporting Relationship: Will report to Chief of OBGYN

Annual Pay Range: $264,378 – 354,446

Position Requirements:
• Bilingual is a plus
• Candidates must have an MD, DO or equivalent degree
• Candidates must be board-certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Looking for strong clinical generalist OB/GYN skills
• Candidates must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California
• Candidates must have completed a residency
• Desire to practice at the nations’ largest teaching hospitals at a single site, which is conveniently located on a medical campus adjacent to downtown Los Angeles
• Desire for a rich clinical experience derived from the tremendous variety in pathology
• Passion for providing high quality clinical patient care to an underserved population
• Passion to teach and work with fellows, residents, and medical students
• Interest in participating in scholarly activities
• Opportunities to participate in multidisciplinary conferences, quality initiatives, and hospital committees
