A prestigious and newly established freestanding birthing hospital in Denver, Colorado, is seeking an experienced and dynamic OB/GYN Medical Director to lead our team. This state-of-the-art facility, opening in September 2024, is designed to provide comprehensive and personalized care to expectant mothers and their families. Our hospital offers a full range of services from prenatal care to first-month follow-up home visits, including postpartum therapy.

Job Responsibilities

• Leadership and Oversight: Provide clinical leadership and oversee all medical operations within the birthing hospital. Ensure high standards of care and patient safety.
• Clinical Excellence: Deliver exceptional OB/GYN care, including prenatal, labor and delivery, and postnatal services. Utilize water birthing suites and other innovative birthing options.
• Team Management: Supervise, mentor, and support a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including OB/GYNs, midwives, nurses, and support staff.
• Program Development: Develop and implement clinical protocols, policies, and procedures. Ensure the integration of best practices in maternal and newborn care.
• Patient Advocacy: Foster a patient-centered environment, emphasizing compassionate care and positive patient experiences.
• Community Engagement: Collaborate with community organizations and health agencies to promote maternal health and wellness. Support educational programs such as Lamaze classes and WIC services.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead quality improvement initiatives and participate in clinical research to advance the field of obstetrics and gynecology.

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Proven leadership experience, preferably in a hospital or birthing center setting
• Strong commitment to patient-centered care and evidence-based practices
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to foster a collaborative and supportive team environment
• Passion for maternal health and wellness

Working Hours

M-F with occasional rotating Saturdays. Hours may vary.
