TeamHealth associate regional medical directors (ARMD) play an integral role collaborating with facility medical directors in Arkansas. Associate regional medical directors support and mentor facility medical directors and advanced practice clinicians, are up to date with changes in the OB/GYN field, and drive TeamHealth patient safety initiatives.
As a member of the TeamHealth OB/GYN leadership team, ARMD reports to the national medical director (NMD), and collaborates with the NMD, senior vice president of operations and director of operations to maintain close collaboration among the clinical teams and hospital leadership. The ARMD will also play an integral role in developing clinical education and protocols that promote best practices and improved patient outcomes.
Duties include working 6-8, 24-hour in-house clinical shifts, rounding with facility medical directors, and working alongside business development. Ideal candidates will be board certified with at least two (2) years of leadership experience, able to demonstrate clinical excellence with superior communication skills, and practice clinically at the designated facility. Qualifications also include a current or in-process Arkansas license to practice, have active and current skills in the full breadth of the OB/Gyn specialty with the skill set and confidence to be the only covering provider in the event of an emergency, and a focus on providing quality care, placing the patient above all other considerations.
