Where You’ll Work
Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center is the sole provider of acute and emergency care for Kodiak Island. Accredited by The Joint Commission and designated as a Level IV trauma center by the State of Alaska, this 25-bed critical-access hospital plays an indispensable role in the lives of 14,000 Kodiak residents, the Coast Guard base and neighboring villages. With a state-of-the-art MRI and 64-slice CT, this hospital receives high marks, and providers are able to offer advanced care.
Where You’ll Live

The island’s tight-knit population of 14,000 is rich in cultural diversity, including Alaska Natives, Asians, Hispanics and Pacific Islanders. Within minutes of the city, you can be beachcombing, hiking in a magnificent forest or salmon fishing in a pristine stream.
