OB Hospitalist opening in Elmira, NY Located 30 miles south of Ithaca; 2 hours from Rochester Position Details:
- Full-time, permanent position
- Looking to add an OB Hospitalist/Laborist to join their full scope practice located in the beautiful Twin Tiers Region of Upstate NY and Northeastern PA. The health system is committed to providing state-of-the-art practice settings along with full support staff. It is a clinical campus for medical students from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (Elmira campus) and has resident training programs including Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine.
- The hospital has established a full-time laborist program as part of its commitment to maintain an excellent level of safety on labor & delivery and a better quality of life for our physicians.
- Premier OB/Gyn & Midwifery practice with OB/GYN physicians, CNMs and Advanced Practice Providers
- 8 labor and delivery rooms and a 20 private room postpartum unit
- Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - only one in the area and a Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist on staff.
- A full-time position would comprise 7 24-hour shifts per month in any combination of 12- or 24-hour shifts as the primary laborist in house. Back-up coverage can be taken off-campus. Primary laborist duties include management of low and high-risk patients on labor & delivery, collaboration with MFM and neonatology, and providing consultations in the Emergency Department and inpatient services as requested.
