Additional Details / Questions Answered by Facility:
10-20 clinic patients per day, less than 1 delivery / surgery per day.
- How many days of call a month Ideally 10-15
- How many days of clinic per week Individual would work 20 contact hours in clinic (three 1/2 days - one full day)
- Is there a set surgery day Monday AM+ Friday AM
- Will they take 1 provider for clinic only and 1 provider for call only? Open to exploring this, I would ideally like to buddy up with both.
- Can you disclose the shift times for the clinic and call portions of the position? Call is usually 24 hours, switches over at 7am. Weekend Call would be Friday - Monday at 7 or 8a. Clinic full days are typically 9a first patient and 4:30 last patient - out by 5. For 1/2 day clinics either 9a-12p or 1p-5p.
Can you advise if the call portion is virtual or if the provider has to be onsite? Call would need to be taken in-market to be available to go on-site, but is not restricted in-house call. Provider must be able to be on-site within 30minutes for emergency responses.
Can you advise if all shifts (clinic, after hours call, and labor/deliver/gynecology surgery call) are onsite coverage for the entirety of the shift? clinic - on site, L&D/Surgery Call (some may just be phone consults, but need flexibility to go in to respond to a labor or emergency consult and surgery, after hours clinic call (done from home/hotel) .
- Will the site consider a CNM until they are able to find an OBGYN? No- we have 2 CNM on-site and we need the physician for C-Sections/Emergencies/Call.
- Would the client consider a daily rate instead of an hourly rate for clinic? Yes
- Would the client consider a candidate for Clinic only and a candidate for call only? If we had to choose, call coverage only is the preference. That is our greatest need, especially for the January/February dates.
- Can you advise on Temps? If they can offer temps, can you advise the timeline to grant temps? We can do Temps. Temps timeline would vary, but if candidate has a NE license, We can typically get everything done in a week if candidate is responsive in completing forms. If no NE license we would say 7-10 business days for the state to grant to Locum license and we would do temp privilege process concurrently and have that complete as well.
5. Is this one laborist, clinic or 24 hour call? 24 hour call covering both patients of our practice as well as acute ob or gyn call for the hospital. Possible for a small amount of clinic if there is an urgent patient need. Clinic will be staffed by 2 CNM and a women's health NP, but if they have someone who needs to see a physician urgently they may contact the provider. (ie patient in clinic seeing one of the CNMs who is getting an ultrasound that is showing something concerning)
