Job Title: OB/GYN Physician - Clinic and Call Coverage

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated OB/GYN physician to join our healthcare facility, providing both clinic and call coverage. The position requires 4-5 24-hour call shifts per month and 3-4 clinic days per week (8 am to 5 pm). The physician will be responsible for handling patient care during clinic hours and being available for call shifts to address emergent cases.

Coverage Type:

The physician will be responsible for both clinic coverage, seeing 20-30 patients during these hours, as well as call coverage, where they can expect 10-15 patients with various obstetric and gynecological emergencies.

Call Responsibilities:

During call shifts, the physician is expected to manage approximately 9 calls, which may include consultations, emergencies, and patient inquiries. They should be prepared for 0-2 hours of rounding and may need to be called back 4-6 times during the on-call period.

Procedures:

The physician will be required to perform various procedures, including but not limited to:

1. Miscarriages - Suction Dilation and Curettage (D&C)

2. Ectopics - Laparoscopic and Laparotomy procedures

3. Torsion - Laparoscopic and Laparotomy procedures

4. C-sections (Cesarean sections)

5. Hysterectomy procedures

Medical Record System:

Our facility utilizes the Epic electronic medical record system for seamless patient information management. The physician must be proficient in using Epic or be willing to undergo training to ensure efficient documentation and communication with other healthcare providers.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

- Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology

- Valid medical license and credentials to practice in the state

- Proven experience in performing the mentioned procedures

- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment

- Flexibility to handle both clinic and call responsibilities effectively

- Proficiency in using Epic or willingness to learn the system
