OB/Gyn Hospitalist - Academic Position
The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco is seeking an OB/Gyn Academic Hospitalist at the level of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor to join the Division of OB/Gyn & Gyn Subspecialties (OGGS) as part of an expanding Hospitalist program.
Available Shifts: Night, 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. (twelve 12 hour shifts per month)
Salary: $115,00.00 - $305,000.00

- Attendance on L&D: primary or assistant surgeon in cesarean sections, operative and spontaneous vaginal deliveries
- Attendance in OB Emergency Department: direct patient care as primary provider and/or supervision of trainees, CNMs and NPs
- Attendance in postpartum: direct patient care of the complicated postpartum service and serving as a consultant to the postpartum NP and CNM team that cares for uncomplicated postpartum patients
- Follow-up on test results
- Responding to OB and Gyn answering service calls
- Participating in QI initiatives
- Teaching Hospitalist fellows, residents and medical students
Skills Required:
- Must also hold an MD or DO degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/Gyn
- Minimum of 3 years post-residency experience or completion of an OB/Gyn Hospitalist fellowship
- Experience in high volume, high-risk obstetrics is also preferred.
