**OBGYN openings in Conway, SC** - Located 10 miles from Myrtle Beach - 325,000 person population - 2 openings available **Position Details:** - Full-time, permanent position - Salary will be at the MGMA median in market - Women's health - bread and butter practice - Reason for searches: 1 OBGYN moved to Laborist role at the hospital and another OBGYN accepted another position closer in their home town - Clinic: M - F 4.5 / Admin .5 - 1 and 6 call - Certified Midwife Inpatient and Laborist for 8-10 days a month - 5 MDs - Heavier load of Medicaid patients/BCBS second - NICU babies go to McLeod Florence - CNM does deliveries, covers first call and will deliver during the day for anyone on call. - 1 and 5 call, phones overnight and high probability delivery call. - Town call for all med cred providers is 1 deliver to 8 deliveries when on weekends every other month. (covering roughly 10 providers for 3 days; 1pm Friday until Monday 8am) - The practice delivers more babies than any other hospital, so OB volume is high, but there is a good balance of GYN. There are plenty of GYN surgeries and the practice are now using the daVinci to do some of them. The physicians determine template set up. Most providers see between 25-28 patients a day. Between the 7 providers, there is an average of 25 OB appointments a week for each provider. - GYN 40% / OB 60%; 25-28 patients 15 f-u / 30 new - OB pool is shared. Patients establish with one provider and then rotate through everyone, whoever is on call delivers. There is no call stipend. - Gyn patients stay with provider; OB rotation - For OR cases, physicians operate with partners as assistants. No block scheduling; 7:30 am start Doc and scrub tech if needed - Call schedule is published monthly. Its usually one day a week and one weekend every 6-8 weeks.
