Nocturnist Opening in Pennsylvania Located in New Castle, PA - Pittsburgh 70m; Cleveland 90m We are expanding and assembling an all-star hospitalist team supported by APPs and specialists to ensure a high-quality patient experience. We re looking for a Nocturnist to join our dynamic team and provide exceptional care to our community. This unique role is part of a hospitalist program overseen by a hospital president who is a cardiologist and deeply committed to improving healthcare in her hometown. The focus is on delivering quality care with a team-oriented, sustainable hospitalist model. As a Nocturnist, you won t be alone. You ll be supported by a team of 2 APPs, with additional support from General Surgery residents, ER/Anesthesia teams, and Pulm/CC services. This collaborative care approach makes this an ideal environment for physicians seeking a strong work-life balance and opportunities for professional growth. Position Highlights: * 7 on/7 off schedule with 12-hour shifts. * Supportive team: 2 APPs help with admissions (approximately 10 per night), covering ICU, codes, and more. * Procedures/lines performed by in-house General Surgery residents. * ICU management provided almost exclusively by a renowned Pulm/CC service, both in person and via Tele-CC at night. * Tele-Hospitalist coverage provided for cross-coverage when needed. * No solo coverage collaborative care with Tele Critical Care and hospitalist services. * Focus on quality care rather than productivity, with ample support for complex cases. Job Responsibilities: * Inpatient care: Provide comprehensive care for hospitalized patients, from admission to discharge. * Conduct history and physical assessments and develop treatment plans. * Work to improve and/or manage patient health outcomes, reduce length of stay through safe medical practices. * Participate in the care team with ongoing collaboration to ensure seamless patient care. * Support and care for patients in an environment focused on high-quality care rather than sheer volume. Qualifications: * Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. * BLS and ACLS certifications required. * Must qualify for a medical license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. * Previous hospitalist or nocturnist experience preferred but not required.
