I am the Hospitalist Medical Director at Texas Health Presbyterian Rockwall. We are looking for new colleagues to join our team. We welcome recent graduates as well as seasoned clinicians. People

• We are a team of eight physicians, 3-day rounders, and 1 Nocturnist on each week. We are planning to expand in the next year to meet our growing community needs.
• Our team comprises clinicians from diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds.
• As a smaller community hospital, we work closely with our hospital partners to make meaningful changes. We work closely with our colleagues in all departments to ensure a smooth transition of care.
• As a medical director, my goal is to empower our physicians to reach their full potential by offering autonomy, resources, and support. I aim to foster an environment that encourages open dialogue and collaboration to enhance our hospital’s growth while improving day-to-day workflow.

Practice

• Texas Health Rockwall consists of 105 beds with 12 ICU beds, and we work in an open ICU environment with our critical care physicians.
• Sound physicians are the primary hospitalist team that admits medical patients. We collaborate closely with our surgeons in the preoperative clinic to optimize our patients as well as provide comprehensive medical care post operative care. We provide medical consulting services for our OBGYN colleagues and other consultants, as needed.
• The schedule for the daytime rounder is 7 on/off, 7 am-7 pm.
• The hospitalist team is part of the rapid response and code team.
• No procedures are required.
• Certifications Required: IM Trained only.
• We use EPIC EMR and access Sound Physicians’ internal informatics platform.
• Day shift rate is $1400, and night shift is $1700. Eligible for both the RVU and Quality bonus.
• Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life and AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability, 401k with match, paid medical malpractice and tail coverage, and annual CME allowance.

The area boasts great schools, a robust housing market, and a diverse job market. There are plenty of family-friendly activities to enjoy throughout the year! With an average of 245 days of sunshine, residents can take advantage of over 25 city parks, 5 large lakes, more than 20 golf courses, and numerous restaurants and shops. Dallas is also renowned for its vibrant arts scene, featuring concert venues, off-Broadway productions, museums, and galleries.
