We are hiring for a Nocturnist position. A Nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours

Local Team Collaboration:

  • Be part of a team of 18 experienced physicians and two advanced practice providers (APPs) at Piedmont Macon.
  • Work alongside clinicians from diverse backgrounds who collaborate and learn from one another.
  • Partner with our hospital’s internal medicine residency program, where four hospitalists have stayed on after their residencies due to our strong culture of teamwork.
  • Engage in community health initiatives and collaborate across hospital departments to ensure seamless care.

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in internal or family medicine.
  • Open to new graduates and experienced physicians.
  • Eligible for J1 visa sponsorship through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
Practice in the Heart of the Community

Schedule:

  • This nocturnist role works in a supportive environment that promotes balance and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide care in a 30-bed closed ICU with no procedural requirements.
  • Participate in rapid response and code teams as part of a hospitalist team trained in basic life support and advanced cardiovascular life support.
  • Leverage EPIC and Sound Physicians’ advanced informatics platform to enhance patient care.
